Lovers Key Resort, your perfect summer getaway. We have some great suggestions for fun activities to do while visiting the resort this summer. For the adventurer in you, we highly recommend taking a 90 minute Dolphin Jet Ski Tour with our friends at Mid-Island Watersports. This incredible adventure takes you back into the Estero Bay Aquatic Preserve to view our friendly dolphin pods in the wild and get a real feel for the nature that surrounds our beautiful resort. After your tour if you are really feeling adventuresome, then take flight with Mid-Island Watersport's Parasailing ride. Feel the exhilaration of parasailing and get a bird's eye view of Ft. Myers Beach. It's absolutely incredible what you'll see. Top off your fun-filled day, by lounging by the pool and sipping one of our cool tropical drinks and taste some scrumptious coconut shrimp from our very own Flippers on the Bay.

Pack a picnic lunch and explore the parks and preserves of Lovers Key State Park adjacent to Lovers Key Resort and venture to the north end of Ft. Myers Beach to Bowditch Point Regional Park. At Lovers Key State Park, you can do it all - bike, hike, canoe, shelling, and rent a rod to fish. Don't be surprised as you walk the trails at the park to see the turtle's burrows with the little guy inside, view the manatees in the lagoon, and see a wide assortment of floral and tropical birds. There are many private areas of the state park to enjoy sunning without the crowds, hence that is why it's been featured on the Travel Channel's Top 10 Beaches. On the northern end of Estero Blvd marks the entrance to the 17-acre Bowditch Point Regional Park where you can experience the natural waterfront environment that extends from the gulf beach to the bay. Take a leisurely walk along the boardwalk and depending on the time of day, you can view the many fishing boats, shrimp fleet and pleasure boats departing for their next trip.

On one of your vacation days, you may want to embark on a half day deep sea fishing excursions from Getaway Marina or Captain Tony's Fishing Express or better yet rent your own boat and explore our tranquil waters. In the evening, everyone gravitates to the Ft. Myers Beach Pier to the view the dramatic sunset. Afterwards Time Square comes alive with nightly entertainment which can include human statues, unicyclists, a steel drum band and live music at one of the various beach bars. There is plenty of shopping too for your souvenirs.
