Originally from Massachusetts, Joseph and Eleanor first lived in Washington D.C. where he was stationed in the Air Force.  Later he had assignments in Arizona, Virginia, Germany and France.

They have been blessed with two children and three grandchildren.  Their son, David, lives in Dallas and has a five year old son, Michael.  Daughter, Janet and husband, Jon, live in Palm Harbor, Florida and have two sons, Jeffery, fifteen, and Jimmy, twelve.

When Joe retired from the Air Force, they moved back to Massachusetts, where he began a second career in the area of employment security.

Now retired in Palm Harbor, Florida, Joe is a happy golfer, and Eleanor is an avid reader and devoted Nana.

When asked the secret of their long and happy marriage, Eleanor quickly responded, "commitment and love".
